Bayside Physio opened in 1998, when Sarah Chen's grandfather Stanley started treating the Port Melbourne community from a small room on Bay Street. Sarah's father Tony carried it forward, and Sarah has run the practice since 2019 — alongside Daniel and Priya, and a patient list that now stretches from the foreshore to the footy club.
We are not a clinical chain. We are a knowledgeable local team who happen to be physios — the kind of practice where the person who answers the phone knows your name, and the physio treating your shoulder might see you again at the Sunday triathlon.

What we help with
Get back to what you love doing
Every plan starts with what you want to return to, not just what hurts. Here is where our team's interest and experience sits.
Shoulder & post-surgical knee
Evidence-based rehab for shoulder pain and post-surgical knees, so you can get back to reaching, lifting and training with confidence.
Running & triathlon
We work with the Port Melbourne Triathlon Club and the Bay Trail crowd — training load, niggles, and race prep may all benefit from a check-in.
Spinal & occupational injury
Support for back and neck concerns, including WorkSafe and TAC claims, with a focus on getting you back on the tools safely.
NDIS support
Registered NDIS provider experience with musculoskeletal and neurological needs, working alongside your support coordinator.
Women's health
Priya's interest in pelvic floor and women's health care, discussed in plain language, at your pace.
Paediatric & adolescent sport
Growing bodies playing junior footy, netball and swimming — support for young athletes and the parents keeping up with them.
